Friday, March 9th
foburg.film will open its screenings at Mimi’s in the Marigny (2601 Royal Street) with “Opening Night” featuring the films “Paths of Hate (Poland)” and “The Hunter and The Swan Discuss Their Meeting (New York)”. Also included in the lineup are New Orleans shorts like “Statue” starring local musician Olga
and directed by Andrew Bryan. At 520 Frenchmen St, foburg.film will screen “Dark Side of the Rainbow” (Presented by Powered Sugar Productions) aka “Wizard of Oz” synced with “Dark Side of the Moon”. The screening will be followed by performances from Force Feed Radio, Sir Shitz Alot, and Jermaine Quiz. All film audio, as well as performances will be heard through headphones (Headphones can be received at the door for a fee). Finally, at Lost Love Lounge at Midnight, a screening of “Underad Of”, a documentary about local punk musicians from New Orleans directed by Jody Smith.

Saturday, March 10
“Filmmakers/Actors Lounge” will begin at 6pm at Lost Love Lounge, with music provided by DJ Diagnosis. Following the lounge will be the screening of a feature film
about Mardi Gras Indians and Q&A with its director (Film cannot be announced, but is local and awesome). Screening at 520 Frenchmen St. will be “Bowie 2001: A Space Oddity” aka Stanley Kubricks famed “2001”, remixed to David Bowie’s “Space Oddity”. The screening will be followed with performances by The Rap Pack, DJ G, and Jermaine Quiz, (Presented by Powered Sugar Productions).

Sunday, March 11
foburg.film will conclude its festival with Q&A’s and screenings from local filmmakers Will Horton, Bmike (Brandan Odmos/2Cent), and Terror Optics Studios. This event will take place at Lost Love Lounge, beginning at 6pm.

foburg.film concentrates on the film portion of foburg, providing a lineup of films that will encompass music, an independent spirit, and visual flair. foburg.film festival hopes to be what any major film fest is when they begin, allowing indie filmmakers to expose their films to a market that caters to independent thinking. foburg.film Festival is produced in association with Timecode:NOLA.

foburg.film and RxSm Self-Medicated Film Expo (Austin, TX) present the foburg.RxSM film exchange. On Saturday, March 10th at Lost Love Lounge, foburg.film will screen short films from Austin, while RxSM will screen films from New Orleans.
